Oregel's petitions from real hacienda de Guadalajara to Barco concerning autos de Cuenta y tributarios from Culiacan. Discusses issues concerning management and remittance of Tributos from Copala, el Rosario, and San Miguel to Guadalxara. Barco suggests Tributos may be kept for Culiacan since this province will have its own real hacienda. Copies of documents dealing with tax issues. Bucareli asks why Culiacan's jurisdiction has not sent Tributos to real hacienda de Guadalaxara during the last five years. Barco answers that Galvez had authorized Culiacan to keep its tributary incomes since a mission and a military fort were going to be built. Discusses the terms and conditions under which pacified Indians living at Sinaloa, Sonora, and Zacatecas are going to pay taxes. (R. Gomez, November 1989)

Onis writes from Washington in October 1809; Vidal informs virrey in detail about his military career and requests payment; Arredondo describes the difficult situation lived by the people of Saltillo with the disease; fiscal sagasurrieta informs virrey about the situation in Saltillo and about the sacrifice of the cabecilla Ximenez. Summary
Concerns a complaint lodged by Serna relating to adulteress behavior of his wife; concerns the new reglamentos de presidio approved by the king and implemented by Bucareli, article related to monies set aside for troops was implemented when Durango and Alamo treasuries could not provide necessary funds, Guadalajara assets would be used, as a result of this the establishment of the paymaster's office in Chihuahua and allowing Esconsa to draw from this institution, mentions the establishment of various pagadurias and other institutions used to provide for troops. Neve attests to fact that his province produces the income enough to provide for troops, asks to be exempt from the charges made upon his area, death of neves followed by an examination of the state of revenues in the pagaduria de Arispe, administrator of revenues states that method of providing revenues to internal provinces must be found, intendent of Sonora recommends a tax to be established to preclude interesados from getting exemptions. Rangel submits two state of accounts, one that refers to consignments from Vizcaya and Mexico, and the other that refers to consignments from Sonora, only treasury from Guadalajara would be remittable. Correspondence of Loyola and the treasurer of Chihuahua follows as they demonstrate the necessity of los productos de rentas for the financial solvency needed to provide for the troops, documents show how funds were taken from different geographic locations to provide for those areas in the most need. In the note accompanying this document mention is made of a military inspection with results of retired and invalid soldiers to be provided so the real tribunal can better budget its sources; decision made to situate the paymaster's office mentioned earlier in Saltillo because of its central location, index of meetings of the junta Superior to discuss location of Pagaduria; letter describing jurisdictional problems as they relate to sending revenues to the capital, revenues coming from tobacco and excise taxes. Assessor and the comandante general are still resolved to continue their independence, Assessor original sent by virrey to bring Bonavia back into the control of the viceroyalty but instead he has allowed Bonavia to proffer weak excuses for not following orders of virrey; letter from virrey warning the comander general that if he does not comply with his orders he will be forced to use the powers available to him to force compliance. Index of letters that are included in this Series; Bonavia establishes duty on goods entering the port of Sonora, models it on San Blas duty at meeting of junta provisional de real hacienda; letter from virrey acknowledging receipt of above letter; intendent of Guadalaxara receives information on meeting of junta provisional; long letter furnishing information on the regulations, rights, and other details of the process by which duties are Charged in San Blas, letter divided into 28 capitulos which in general discuss; the distinction between duties and taxes and the related question of jurisdiction, economic motivation for their imposition and effect on commerce and prices, importation of cotton from Panama and foreign producers and a complete list of the duties Charged on this merchandise. Cites the increased costs being suffered because of the revolution in the context of seeking additional revenue, cites the benefits to the port of San Blas because of the increase in commerce, mention made of the taxes and duties Charged on goods that are foreign but have gone through Spain before coming into the Americas, more specifically there are different rates on foreign goods that have been espanolizado depending on which american port they enter, San Blas has a privileged status in this regard; second half of letter titled derecho de entreda, duros de internacion , up until capitulo 12 has a description of duty Fee percentages, the prestamo patriotico is reduced by 1/2 percent for those who pay duties, comparison of these rates with those in Lima - compare favorably, virrey has stated that the charging of these duties should be arranged so as to most resemble reglamento Al comercio Libre del Ano de 1778, lists the taxes that will be paid on foreign goods that first are espanolizados and pass through Guatemala, Santa Fe, and Peru before passing through the port of San Blas, analysis in the change of these taxes with those that had been inuse before, lists the commodities that will be Charged duties, last part of letter goes into the context of the situation as justification for these new taxes and lastly cites all the names of those who were part of the junta general and were witness to these new changes.
