McKee, (Dr.)

Mentioned in the 10/12/1943 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954: “Dr. McKee then made an announcement regarding the milk situation in Tucson, explaining that the doctors should exercise more care in prescribing milk and that certificates should only be filled out for strict emergencies. Dr. Howard stated that it was unlikely that any official or legal action could be taken on rationing of milk. Doctors Claude Davis and McKee and Vernon Mahoney expressed themselves in favor of more publicity regarding a more equitable distribution of milk.”

McKee, Carlisle Emerson, Sr.

JAMA, Jan 1963; 183: 218: McKee, Carlisle Emerson, Sr., Tucson, Ariz.; Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, 1906; veteran of World War 1; past-president of the Jefferson Medical College Alumni Association; for many years practiced in Pittsburgh, where he was chief of eye service, St. Joseph Hospital; died in Pittsburgh Oct 10, aged 80, of pulmonary thrombosis.

McKee, James Cooper

Born in Pennsylvania May 18, 1830. In 1864 he became a major in the Army’s Medical Department. Dr. McKee served as medical director for the Department of Arizona and was stationed at Fort Whipple between 1877 and 1880. In April 1877 he spent a few days at Fort Lowell inspecting the hospital and medical supplies. Died Dec 11, 1897 at Butler, Pennsylvania.
