Mentioned in the 10/12/1943 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954: “Dr. McKee then made an announcement regarding the milk situation in Tucson, explaining that the doctors should exercise more care in prescribing milk and that certificates should only be filled out for strict emergencies. Dr. Howard stated that it was unlikely that any official or legal action could be taken on rationing of milk. Doctors Claude Davis and McKee and Vernon Mahoney expressed themselves in favor of more publicity regarding a more equitable distribution of milk.”
