A Series of letters from three authors addressed to Ugalde that discuss various matters concerning the tercera compania volante and the assigning of horses to soldiers, receipt of discharge notices, rehabilitation of Puga from earlier injuries, purchase of corn, Gonzales de Paredes' request for discharge for medical reasons, transmission of documents among different companies, Puga's request for leave and transportation to Llena to handle affairs of recently defunct Father, Puga's request that his sons be assigned to the segunda compania volante, receipt of orders to retire Flores, efforts to recruit a particular Mason who is unfortunately deeply indebted to his company. States that the Indians receive in exchange for six fanegas of Pinon only one cow, which is worth only three pesos in that area. This is unfair due to the great distances they must travel to gather Pinones (60 leagues) and also due to the great risk involved from the enemy. (R. Perez) (1977)
