Letters to viceroy by settlers from canary islands to lift restrictions to travel to sell their produce and seek medical aid in Saltillo and/or Mexico City. As founders of San Fernando village settlers were promised their crops would be bought by presidios. Due to failure settlers are requesting license to travel outside of province to do so. Also, signed petitions of villagers protesting governor for not to allowing Travieso to seek medical aid. (A. Dell'acqua, January 1988)

Documents relating to events in transporting families from canary islands to settle in Texas, lists of materials in clothing and all kinds of tools needed. Lists of supplies of foods, salary to be paid to guide, increase of daily maintenance for every person, census of families with physical description of every individual in expedition, proposals by church to marry every girl from 12 to 18 years of age and every Boy from 24 to 12 years of age. Appointment of priest to cure families, itinerary of trip. Also, lists of expenses incurred in transportation from Veracruz to San Antonio. Maps with planned areas in which such families could settle near San Antonio without conflicting with other settlers in area drawn by marquez de Aguayo in ff. 187. Correspondence between governor Sandoval an viceroy about difficulties of Sandoval being respected and obeyed by officers of presidio de San Antonio principally its captain Urrutia who wrote letters against governor accusing him of corruption, lewd behavior and incompetence, forcing settlers of area not to obey governor also. Desertion of eight soldiers who did not obey orders of governor to escort new governor of province, such deserters expressed were following orders of Urrutia not to obey orders from governor. Governor confronted Urrutia in front of witnesses making him relent and issue orders of capture against such soldiers. (A. Dell'acqua, January 1988)

Settlement and payment to fifteen families who were staying and helping families from canary islands. Viceroy wanted to pay them for continuing in area. Capitan of presidio San Antonio relates that families have moved away as they did not want to continue living with people from canary islands as their way of life was different and wanted to avoid tensions and fights.
