Documents concern an all out military campaign and very well organized raid against Nortenos and Apache Indians. Indian prisoners of the Spaniards play an important role in attacks against the Indian rancherias. Diaries of the campaign give full description of how raids were carried out. Military official in charge of the expedition requests stipends for Indian guides who proved loyal to the Spaniards.
