Electrotype Co., 1918, volume 1, page 105: The "Prescott Miner " of August 13th, 1870, says: "Bill Williams, for whom Bill Williams' Pork and Bill Williams' Mountain were called, was killed by Utes while trying to relieve the Fremont expedition which was searching for Cochetope Pass, which both Senator Benton and Colonel Fremont thought was the best pass for a railroad. Kessler, Cathryn

J Am Med Assoc, Aug 1923; 81: 482: Tucson Physicians Indorse Baby Health Center. -- The Pima County Medical Society, at a meeting held July 20, approved plans presented by Miss Cathryn Kessler, government nurse, for a center for feeding and caring for babies of the city and county. It was proposed that a physician supervise the center, and that a trained nurse be in charge. Milk would be prepared and sold at cost; advice given mothers who need it, and babies would be registered and weighed. The center would be supported by charity or special funds.

Ketcherside, Enoch Blackburn

KETCHERSIDE, Enoch Blackburn, of Jerome, Arz., born September 7, 1846, near Trenton, Ga., is the son of James and Mary (Cartwright) Ketcherside, grandson of Thomas Ketcherside, of Scotland. His father died when he was six years old, and at the age of twelve years he was attacked with hip joint disease, which continued six years, and maimed him for life. At eighteen years he was without an educa tion, but was then able to work, and by his own effort acquired an academical education.

Son of Enoch B. Ketcherside. Appointed Territorial prison physician in 1907 and superintendent of the Arizona State Hospital Aug 1, 1908. Served until Jan, 1911.
