Account of Cazorla's expedition to southeast coast of Texas to search for English that are illegaling trading arms and other goods and who are cutting wood for houses. Cazorla finds no direct evidence of English traders, though he does find Indians with English guns. He finds some French and black traders whom he arrests. Summary
Correspondence is on administrative and financial matters in department of San Blas. Several documents deal with appointments, health and salaries of personnel; others with cargos and itineraries of Paquebot San Carlos and Goleta Sonora on voyages to California ports, supplying provisions to discuss damage to Paquebot in storm. Ff. 407 continues discussion of status in construction of Paquebot and why better suited to be fragata rather than Paquebot. Ff. 408-410, 414-419, 430-432, 434 deal with personnel problems of craftsmen on ship construction, delays due to illnesses. Ff. 411-413 on publication of new royal decrees lowering percentage of rights to gold, after royal fifth subtracted. Ff. 423-429 are list of workers contracted in Veracruz with salary information and deductions on salaries for officials for pensions to wives. (J. M. Johnson, October 1988)

303-312: Informe from Bucareli to director of temporalidades asking that Arroyo Zarco administrator be replaced by Aysa due to poor administration. Informe from Garay to Mangino regarding end of the ranch's seizure. Aissa asks for funds for repairs. 313-336: Montoya Garay provides inventory list to Ayssa which includes extensive and descriptive list of chapel and vestry items, household furnishings, books, kitchen goods, laborer tools, bed sheeting, store items, personal debts, farmhand salaraies, livestock. 342: Virrey grants permission that Mangino come to capital. 345-352: Escala Guller grants permission to Thomas Escala to buy and sell his properties. 353-354: Montoya aska virrey if taking horses from his own hacienda is permissible. 355-358: Mangino infoms virrey of financial losses to Arroyo Zarco caused by troops and sailors that are housed at the hacienda.
