Most viceroy by Croix for two thousand men to bring peace to provincias, documents against capitan Barrios and his removal, naming of capellanes to presidios, requests of salary advancements from religious personnel and military personnel. Also, total commercial freedom in Americas with cultivation, collection and transportation of pepper and Tabasco to Spain, prohibiting Duran and Chavez to travel to Spain again without first requesting viceroy's permission, orders to transfer Queipo to Spain to live with wife, issuance of new coined money to Cajas reales and lists of personnel who have finished their service and retired due to injuries and insanity. Summary
Correspondence between virrey and three officers in Santander; Vidal de Lorca requests more munitions, money and troops to respond to Indian depredations; Maxent retires due to fever and illness suffered in San Luis Potosi; Quixas requests permission to go to Mexico City to See someone for cure, explains his sad position and excellent record; virrey is informed that Quixas, who is blind, has received permission from previous virrey but done nothing about it other than complain, causing previous virrey to impose perpetual silence on Quixas so virrey denies him permission to go to capital, but grants him permission to seek cure elsewhere; documents in Series, but intermingled.
