A very long and complex document Series. In name of Inez martinas, Pedro and Nicolas de Quesada lay claim to some land in Valley of San Bartolome. The land is claimed by Maria Romo who is represented by capt. Alonso Morales Garcia. Capt. Garcia presents documents to show Maria Romo bought land from capt. Juan Gomez Hernandez (whose widow presents documents). Appeal to Audiencia and king. Eventually decision in favor of Pedro and Inez five years later. (R. Davis) (1975)

A very long involved document of letters, testimonios, inventarios and pleitos all based on legal ownership of Salvatierra estate. Includes- memoria inventario of haciendas and goods of Salvatierra with Esclavos mulatos and indios mentioned. (R. Davis) (1977)

Legal document which pertains to a suit over land and water near Querataro and which were claimed by representatives of the California missions. The land in question had been donated by the marques de Villapuente but was claimed in part by the montuzuma family. exp. 2, 4, provides original land titles and delimitation of the numerous sitios originally held by the Zapata family and capitan Acuna. Supporting documentation goes back to 1650's and essentially provides title search and history of this land for over a century. (D. Deeds) (1977)

Documents concerning Escandon's defense of lands from expropriation; argues against Osorio, Cornide and Velarde that expropriation proceedures not legal, that public statements not adequate, supports auto submitted by his son, not accusing officials but stating his point of view; letter from Osorio to virrey answering some of Escandon's points; letter from Cornide to virrey suggests that Escandon has no justification; Gorraes closes case by order of virrey (D.
