Summary
Soldiers, horses, mules and supplies are sent from Punta de Lampazos to Monterrey to join other companias in Ugalde's campaign. Indians from San Christoval mision lead by capitancillo Montes, are said to have committed robbery. Autos for the trial of Espadas for the disappearance of 1500 pesos during during his provisional military administration. Some witnesses are brought to the trial, Espadas' goods are sold, and Ugalde is given a copy of all the trial's documents. (R. Gomez, July 1989)

Summary
Gonzales investigates criminal case against 17-year-old Indian convert Merino, accused of Murdering gentile Indian woman. Results of interrogation of Indian witnesses reveal that victim received three blows and died following day. Merino says motive was that Brother of victim had killed his relative three months earlier. Galindo recommends that Merino spend six years at presidio of San Francisco as punishment. (J. Summary
Summary of embezzlement charge against Sal and investigation into debt in funds he managed. Interrogations made by Soler seeking knowledge of vices, distractions or other expenses beyond the expected made by Sal. Witnesses agree that expenses of accused were inflated but no vices were observed. Sal's inventory of 23 different items (f.185), including items of cloth, sword, ink well, pistols, flasks, livestock, and otter pelts and their monetary values to be received by depository. Sal provides listing of charges and expenses produced under his leadership from January 1782 to September 1787. Accountants Zuniga and Arguello provide similar listing (f.230-236) for same time period. Sal presents a defense (f.239-242).(J. Hiller, December 1988)
