Joseph petitions the official of the Caxa of San Diego, capitan Juan Pelayo, to purchase 6 sites ganados majores which are part of the Indian village of San Ignacio. He cites fact that the decline in population has left these lands now unowned by Indians. The Indians are shared encomienda by Antonio de Oliveras and Francisco del Villar.
