Vargas takes possession of presidio of Pasaje (f. 327). Virrey Rubi's charge of improper presidio administration (f. 329). Ruiz de Maranon named by Vargas to replace Rodaliega as sargent nomination of subordinate presidio officers, payment of cash wages to these officers (ff. 332-333). Virrey approves nomination of sargent, lieutenant of Pasaje (f. 334). Rubi thanks virrey for acceding to his request that Pedriza replace Vargas as captain of Pasaje. Included is copy of decree ordering this change in command, plus Pedriza's letter of thanks to virrey. (J. H. Ochs, July 1988)
