A suit challenging sentence of exile to the Puesto of lode Mora given to plaintiff's wife Maria Ignacia Mondragon by Alcalde Matias Ortiz while the plaintiff was in Taos on business. Mondragon was apparently convicted of attempting to establish ilicit relations with Jose Mestas and disrupting his marriage by verbally attacking his wife, Maria Dolores Varela, and physically abusing her. Madrid accuses Gonzales of having called her an (alcagueta) of referring to her as a disreputable woman, in the presence of her Husband as a result of which she was denied entrance to the convent. Manrriques passes the declarations to the licenciado Bracho, who gives his opinion in the case. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)

Rosalia Madrid is accused of having protested the intended marriage of Jose Fresquis and Gertrudis Mestas. Madrid denies this slanderous charge. Finally, the priest Sebastian Albares issues a written statement certifying that Madrid is not the person who issued the protest. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)

Juana Getrudis Baca accuses Pedro Martin of having lured her away from her home through a trick to a secluded place, and raping her. Martin admits having carnal knowledge of Baca, but insists that she was a willing partner in the act, that it was not rape.
