Captain Fernando Punado manyon brings suit against actions of captains Alonso Bello, Bernardo Gomez and Fernando Alvarado with regard to their relationship to an Indian rebel group in San Bartolome led by Baltasar Caevimali (Chisos indian?) Capt. Fernando notes that Baltasar and his rebels are part of capt. Cristobal is convicted of robbery. Sentenced to six (6) months service in a hacienda de minas. The people he is to work for will, in turn, pay the court costs - all public costs of the proceeding - and the personal costs sustained by the victim of the crime. (T. Barnes) (1975)

Jacinto, an Indian, takes Francisco Justamente to court for non-payment of back wages at a hacienda - Francisco is the mayordomo. Guajardo Fajardo rules in Jacinto's favor and fines and jails Justamente. Justamente and the Owner of the hacienda acquire good lawyer, but Guajardo Fajardo rejects the appeal. (T. Barnes) (1975)

Jose Pascual claims that the Jesuit ^doctrina^ of San Pedro de las Lagunas is an unjustified action by the Jesuits and that the Jesuits are to blame for the current unrest and second rebellion of the Tarahumara and other ^naturales.^ the Jesuits respond through padre Escandon, outlining the history of the royal cedula granting them their right; and also pointing out that San Pedro actually falls in the jurisdiction of Parras not San Joseph, and continues by outlining the corrupt practices of the miners who try to capture the Indians for labor and disregard the kings laws.
