1025 inhabitants Aconchi, Baviacora. Speak ore (Opata dialect). On Seri, gentile Pima frontier, few of whom come to pueblos for baptism. Flat-roofed houses, good church, religious musical band. Hacienda de minas (where ore reduced) one league away. Various mines with people of all colors nearby. People speak Hore (Opata dialect), dress well, live in flat-roofed houses, raise good harvests maize/wheat, possess adequate churches, religious musical bands. No gentile Indians within Partido, but many Conchos, similar to Sumas, on frontier who came to pueblos to trade. Also near fierce and bellicose nation of Apaches, and New Mexico provinces. 1375 inhabitants divided among Onavas, Tonichi. Onavas situated hill above Rio Yaqui. Inhabitants Nebomes Altas, considered finest Piman group. Well-dressed, religious, living in towns flat-roofed houses arranged along streets. Many speak Mexican language (nahuatl?). Beautiful church of 3 naves, musicians.
