Summary
Corbalan remits copy of letter of missionary of Tecoripa describing miserable state in which the Sibubapas find themselves, adds that Indians augment diet with wild roots and deer, and states church building in ruins, rectory without roof. Attached is virrey's response. (J. H. Ochs, January 1988)

Summary
Viceregal orders concerning Seri settlement at Pitic in which Corbalan is commanded to oversee progress on construction of Canal, and to provide military detachment at aforementioned location. At insistence of Franciscan padre procurador of Querataro, virrey plans to send additional missionary to Pitic. Included is Corbalan's response to virrey's order that Seri communal land be divided and distributed to individual Indians. (J. H. Ochs, January 1988)
