Treasury to be constructed so it may pay troops of Provincias Internas and meet their other needs. F. 98 described Royuela's previous post in Acapulco and gives his salary. Ff. 98-100 is a letter explaining role of new treasury in Saltillo and provides Royuela's salary. Other documents concern the division of powers and jurisdictions of various officials of Provincias Internas. F. 113 refers to vassals' rights and the power of king to appoint officials. Castro request information with respect to his new position, salary, and residency now that Nava has been appointed comandante general de Provincias Internas. viceroy awaits order from king for new status of Castro, and requests documents from Nuevo Leon and Nuevo Santander. Appointment made in order to have better control of area, and for faster conversion of Indians. Discussion of duties among Croix and viceroy concerning region, as well as the relationship between Croix and the governors and military officials of area; discussion of salaries for Croix and other government officials; discussion of best ways for converting Indians, and for controlling warring ones.
