An auto by Don Phelipe Rabago y Theran, capitan comandante del presidio de San Luis de las Amarillas regarding the foundation of two missions among the Apaches, as requested by fr. Diego Ximenez- Santa Cruz (o S. Lorenzo) and Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria. This document contains the autos de la formazion and the testimony of testigos besides the dictamen of the friars, fr. It was written at the presidio de San Antonio de Besar and refers to the missions belonging to the colegio de Santa Cruz in that area. This is a faithful copy of the testimony given by fr. Mariano Francisco de los Dolores of the mission of San Antonio de Valero, and of fr. This travel account traces Morfi's journey northward from central Mexico to Texas and New Mexico. It is rich in geographic and economic data, as well as in information on presidios and towns.
