This is a copy of the diary of fr. Juan Diaz when he accompanied cap. Juan Ansa in the expedition from San Gabriel in California to San Ignacio de Tubac in Sonora. The diary begins with the date of may 5, 1774 and ends on may 25 of the same year, concluding with the following words- se finalizo Este diario en dicho presidio de San Ignazio de Tubac en 26 Dias del Mes de Mayo de 1774. It ends with the name of fr. Juan Diaz, Misionero Appostolico, but it is not his signature and the diary is a copy of the original. (microfilm catalog)

An informe by fr. Antonio Ramos stating that he has been appointed as the official visitator of the missions of Pimeria Alta and Pimeria Baja pertaining to the college of Santa Cruz of Querataro. A list is given of the missions to be visited. This document is incomplete and bears no date signature. Written on the top, however, are the words- 1774, presid. Ant. Ramos. (microfilm catalog)

This informe gives an account of each of the following missions and the dates of their foundation- S. Diego, July 16, 1769; San Gabriel, September 8, 1771; S. Luis Obispo, September 1, 1772; S. Antonio de Padua, July 14, 1771; S. Carlos de Monte Rey, June 3, 1770. It also speaks of the missions, San Buenaventura Santa Clara and San Francisco which were not yet founded, but the proposed sites for their foundation are mentioned.
