Sixty two Indians (uo Sibolas; 30 Nortenos, and 19 Cholomes) enter the presidio asking for missionaries and friendly relations. They state that they are on friendly terms with the Tarahumaras and the Apaches (nations that border their lands). They want to work part of the year at Conchos in return for supplies because their agricultural yield is low. Information is given on their location and agricultural practices. (R. Perez) (1977)

The mulato brothers Benites have been arrested for vagrancy, but the testimonies against them charge them with a variety of crimes (in detail) including murder, robbery and fomenting dissention with bad Indians. (R. Perez) (1977)

Isidro de Bera and several Vaqueros are out rounding up cattle when they encounter a band of Tarahumara living on their hacienda, killing cattle. In the ensuing battle 2 Vaqueros are killed and one is wounded. Several Tarahumara are killed, and the remaining men escape. Bera rounds up the women and children. Contains subsistence and material culture data on Tarahumara. Also many accounts of depredations by Tarahumara and Apaches. (R. Perez) (1977)

Antonio Molinares, a Miner, has staked his claim in the middle of a Milpa belonging to the Indians of the mission Carichiqui. Nothing the padre can do will make him leave. Documents includes a list of all the Indian officials of the Pueblo. (R. Perez) (1977)

Petition asking remedy for abuses by the padre, which include- inhibiting the harvest by forbidding the women to work in the fields as much as is necessary; taking too much of the yield (both of grain and of livestock); and using overly severe punishment. The governor orders capitan Berrotaran to investigate. (R. Perez) (1977)

A command to the Alcaldes mayores of Parral, minas Nuevas and Santa Barbara that no Indians of those pueblos be allowed to go more than 4 leagues from their Pueblo without special permission from the Alcalde mayor or Misionero.
