An auto by Don Phelipe Rabago y Theran, capitan comandante del presidio de San Luis de las Amarillas regarding the foundation of two missions among the Apaches, as requested by fr. Diego Ximenez- Santa Cruz (o S. Lorenzo) and Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria. This document contains the autos de la formazion and the testimony of testigos besides the dictamen of the friars, fr. This is a copy of the testimony gathered officially regarding the missions of the Apaches along the Rio San Saba. It was sent by Don Diego de Ortiz Parilla to the virrey, and contains very much information regarding the Apaches and the missions established among them. It was written at the presidio de San Antonio de Besar and refers to the missions belonging to the colegio de Santa Cruz in that area. This informe of fr. Mariano proposes a number of suggestions for facilitating the subjugation of the Apaches. Other informes are added by capitan Don Thoribio de Urrutia. These are copies of two relaciones made by the Jesuits concerning their entrance into the provinces of Sonora and Pimeria. The first has to do with the expedition made in November and December of 1750. The second bears the following title- relacion Clara y distinta del Actual Estado y deplorable sistema de la parte Mas considerable, y Mas digna de atencion de esta America en las provincias de Cinaloa, Sonora, Pimeria, Taraumara, y las demas que componen las Dos vastos governaciones de Cinaloa y Nueva Vizcaia.
