Summary
Juana Getrudis Baca accuses Pedro Martin of having lured her away from her home through a trick to a secluded place, and raping her. Martin admits having carnal knowledge of Baca, but insists that she was a willing partner in the act, that it was not rape. In the ensuing proceedings it is alleged that Baca, who is married, had been having illicit relationships a severe reprimand and is required to pay the costs of the suit. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)

Summary
Papers regarding the disposition of the property of Juan Antonio de Cuevas who has died, in a state of celibacy. The pertinent tribunal names his Mother, Maria de la Blanca, a widow, as the sole heir to all his properties. Juan Antonio resided in Mexico while his Mother lives in Spain. Also here are papers concerning the poor administration, and misappropriation of funds pertaining to the hacienda del Pozo de Acuna, apparently part of the properties involved. (Lloyd Kendall)(1980)

Summary
Christobal Barela suspects his wife Antonia Tereza of having an affair with another man, and also, that her Brother, Manuel Gutierres is aiding her in this matter. One night Christobal descends upon Manuel's house banging on the Door and demanding entrance. When Manuel comes to the Door Christobal insists that Antonia Tereza is inside, in bed with another man and he (Christobal) attacks Manuel with a lance, which Manuel evades. There is a big uproar in which several people rush to the scene, including the Alcalde mayor and Christobal and his Brother Jose Mariano are arrested. Pacheco takes depositions in the case, and sends them to the governor. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)

The Indians of la Ysleta accuse Manuela Carrillo, servant of off over 200 Head of cattle have damaged their cultivations, destroyed the enclosure they constructed to protect the crops, ruined the Patio of the convent; that Carrillo has mistreated them in words and deeds. Carrillo is warned to make amends; that she cannot deprive the Indians of their legitimate rights; that her herd will have to be moved out of the district of Ysleta, to where there is sufficient territory for grazing and maintaining it.
