Summary
Concerns Comanche unrest. Detachment of soldiers from New Mexico call Comanches Cuchanicas together so they can elect general of their nation and maintain friendship with Spaniards despite perturbations caused by Comanches Orientales Allied with Spanish rebels and Anglo-Americans. Also discusses Navajo raids in New Mexico in jurisdictions of Zuni and Jemez, including copies of diarios of Manuel Garcia, Jose Caballero in pursuit of raiders. Navajos offer to pay compensation for deaths of two shepherds. Allande doesn't know whether to accept payment or not. (T. Sheridan, April 1990)

Summary
Gabiola seeks appointment as gobernador Interino of Nuevo Santander. Noting scarcity of qualified personnel, however, Bonavia suggests Gabiola be appointed gobernador Interino of Nueva Mexico instead. States that most frontier military personnel lack skills, experience to combat invasion of disciplined army. Notes that Anglo-Americans threatening Texas and could threaten Nueva Mexico as well. Points out that talented frontier leaders like Urrea, Garcia de Texada, Lopez have already been transferred south. (T. Sheridan, March 1990)

Relacion of several Indians who want amnesty to live in pueblo mesquital. Relacion contains names and how many are with their families. Letter from the governor of Sonora to the virrey informing him of the happiness of the americans when they heard the king's declaration. Garcia Alexo reports that the rebels who caused the disturbance in Bavispe have been identified and suggests virrey recognize the patriotic behavior of Evangelista Barrios, chief of the Opatas.
