Investigation concerning land dispute involving Gallo presidio. Capitan lezaola contends Sebastian Nunez donated Arroyo de Naicha land to Gallo presidio for use as pasture for horse herd. Related documents #24, pp.107-201, concerning litigation between Senora Juana de Ugarte and capitan Leizaola over disputed land. Lawsuit drags on until 1748. Also, #33,pp.245-46, 1759. (T. A register or ledger used to record orders and circulars, issued by the national government of newly independent Mexico, the comandante general of the Provincias Internas, and the governor of New Mexico. Documents copied deal with military matters - acquisition of bear skins for military hats, voluntary contribution to support the army, and regulations on how to deal with army deserters; internal matters - means to deal with the Navajo who were in rebellion and a revolt in Nueva Santander; economics - the exemption of printing equipment from the sales tax; legal - actions to be taken against a subversive Author, and how to deal with debtors; and political - a list of deputies elected to national congress, a religious holiday to memorialize those who died in the independence wars, honors awarded to Iturbide, and the naming of Antonio Cordero as comandante general of the Provincias Internas.
