Reports from Flores de San Pedro, other officers, of beginning of reconquest of Naiarit. F.187 mentions giving orders to friendly Indians to draw most of Naiares from their pueblos because they were impeding departure of troops. F.194 discusses supplies, pay for 500 men, organization of campaign, reports of skirmishes. (A. Dean, February 1990)

Reports on readiness of local troops to join in reconquest of Naiarit, general preparations. F.175 is letter by Diaz attesting that he has cured several of Infanteria Espanola of fever, etc; they may now participate in reconquest. F.186 mentions killing, burial of Luna; letter is by Lauria, who apparently witnessed discovery of Luna's body. (A. Dean, February 1990)

Reports from presidios, padres in Villas concerning growing uneasiness at threat of Indian attack. F.135 mentions people of Durango taken to streets in such unrest that soldiers had to control them. F.137 lists arms received by Reina (sent from his home); lists to whom of his company arms are distributed. F.139-140 Aguilar reports on situation of Mesquital; convent hosted Flores, 30 soldiers. F.141 are medical credentials, license of Ruiz Calero, being hired by San Juan Hospital. Ff.145-158 are brief reports tracking troop movements, preparation for reconquest of Nayarit from Nueva Vizcaya. F.150 is nearly illegible letter by Ernandes describing famine in Tenaraca, barely enough corn to ration to citizens, none for Indians. (A. Dean, January 1990)

F.112 begins discussion of art of war, practical applications toward defeating rebels; list of loyal troops, count of men in each totaling 11,000, from Almagres, Comanches and allies, regular troops and auxiliaries, private forces of Gutierrez y Seroi and maritionez. F.113 speaks of threat of attack by English or English-supported rebels at Victoria; fear of invasion planned by English agents in new Orleans, points northeast. F.115 mentions war with creeks, battle of alabama. F.118 describes appointing Vidai captains, menion destruction of ships of gavilla de ori at Matagorda; list of Indian tribes willing to support patriots in war. Interesting, informative documents.
