Cabello tells of the arrival of Nebe, and his trips to Bahia and Rio Grande. The patrols are mentioned. Two scouts encounter a large Comanche camp, trail towards Bahia. Cabello sends 144 men against them. Among them are 12 Lipanes. Cabello wanted the Comanches to See the Lipanes and Spaniards fighting together. He details the guard left at Bexar. (D. Coates) (1980)

Cabello determined to attack the Indians at daybreak the next day. 167 men were to take part in the operation. He discusses his worry over leaving the presidio unmanned. Valdes' reports upon the operation as written by Cabello. Numbers of dead Indians, and livestock captured are included.
