Summary
Francisco conde Cercedo brings suit against the 3 mentioned men for Bernardo de los Santo's illegal sale of Indians to Martin, and Gaspar. In the process a number of Francisco's cows are killed and he in turn issues autos against a number of people. The governor, Don Luis, cuts off Martin's salary, and upholds Francisco's actions with one exception, in the case of Juan de Espinola. (R. Davis) (1977)

Summary
Roxas requests missionaries to open their Libros de Cuentas to secular authorities and missionaries respond. Some information on political and military situation, agriculture, etc. Perez de la Busta observes that Indian crops (mais, Trigo, frixel, algodon, Cana, lenteja, Chile, garbanzo) and mission economics suffer because Indians spend so much time fighting as auxiliaries. Missionaries worried about challenges to their temporal control of missions, including right to punish wrongdoers. Good information on mission debts and credits.
