General command of Provincias Internas under authority of nava and which will now incorporate the virreynato de la peninsula de California, el nuevo reyno de leon y colonia del Nuevo Santander, puertollano's acknowledgement to make any adjustments in running of his missions if necessary, death of bisuete and illness of two other priests, founding of mission de helguera, informs that puertollano is seeking license to go to Spain to recruit 40 priests due to personnel shortage; sealed letter expressing puertollano's desire to avail himself from earlier commitment of sending 5 religiosos to Durango; puertollano stating that the death of bisute and the illness of two other priests is the reason that he seeks to redirect the 5 religiosos from Durango to tamauplia oriental, comments on the deteriorating condition of the mission Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe due to the death and illnesses mentioned and similar complaints lodged by the missions of san Jose and Coahuila as justification for his desire to redirect religious personnel; virrey informing nava on the developments mentioned above and tells him that he has communicated the same to the bishop of Durango; acknowledgement of Lorenzo of developments that will not permit 5 religiosos that he was supposed to receive from the colegio apostolico de pachuca from aiding him; virrey approving lorenzo' request for license to go to Spain to recruit personnel. Sending out religious personnel to curatos and doctrinas, pointing out that the colegio de pachuca May send out personnel for two missions being established, mision de santo angel de satevo and mision de San Francisco de Xavier de baborigame; sealed letter discusses religious personnel to be sent from colegio de pachuca, advises that they be sent to missions now functioning, asks that paper work associated with founding of the guaycabo and cajurichi missions be expedited and mentions that the two are without church or religious paraphernalia; order for lorenzo to send five religious personnel to area as soon as possible and that once they arrive lorenzo will be informed where they will be stationed; lorenzo asks virrey by what means he is to defray the travel costs of the 5 religiosos he is sending, hope that these costs will not be taken from the annual synod paid to the religiosos; response from lorenzo stating his plans to send the five in question as soon as possible. Administration of a synod the mission of satebo and the surrounding indian communities of guapalaynas, yoquivo, and depending on the discretion of Cordero, Guadalupe; the population size for each community with a grand total of 834, the distance of Cordero from these settlements has occasioned the use of ochoa in the satebo mission; letter acknowledging the above and giving approval for the restructuring to proceed; nava's request that the bishop of Durango be involved in the restructuring mentioned above; document resulting from the meeting of the junta superior de la real hazienda on costs resulting from the restructuring, signed by the six fiscales; virrey acknowledges restructuring and informs nava that he has asked bishop of Durango for his cooperation in this matter; bishop of Durango accepting a role in the establishment of the mission, forsees no problems except for possibly a shortage of missionaries; nava's intention to take up the matter of the mission as soon as he gets back from vizcaya; virrey's permission for a payment to be fowarded to the minister so the synod can be paid; need for lorenzo to consult the commandante general of the area and together verify that the establishment of the mission is going as planned. Hampier has no 'domicilio fijo' in Nueva Espana, plans to return to Spain with children where they will become 'profesores de la doctrina christiana.' two children selected from a 'collera' of Mecos and Apaches being resettled from 'Provincias Internas' are left in Veracruz, girl at 'casa de las Recogidas,' Boy at 'hospicio de los pobres.' directors ordered to hand over children to Hampier.
