Series of letters by Napoli over 4 year period. Mostly concern state of his health and religious matters. Napoli does note that after Yaqui River goes down, shrimp fishing begins and Indians apparently do little but catch fish spawning in River. (rahum, October 2, 1737). In same letter, Napoli finds himself without foodstuffs or seeds of gaube, y avas y lanteja (guabe?, jabas, lentils). Mentions uprising of California Indians (Californios). In letter of October 2, 1739, discusses growing unrest among Yaquis, especially those in Huiribis and Potam, who andan con las Armas en Manos. mentions detainment of Muni and Bernabe, two Yaqui leaders.
