Summary
Autos concerning the excommunication of administrator Valiente for avoiding payment of diezmos. Letter from Michoacan to virrey accusing Valiente of avoiding payment. jueces hacedores of Valladolid and Guadalaxara claim that the Diezmos are for their own churches. Valiente request advice from fiscal Mangino in the matter of the diezmos and the excommunication. Mangino informs virrey of the charges against Valiente and requests his judgment. Accounting relacion of payments made by several administrators from the mission of California since 1743 till 1768, with the amounts of payment. Letter from bishop of Guadalaxara claiming that the diezmos from Valiente belong to his church, that those haciendas were exempt from paying Diezmos when administered by Jesuits. (D. Summary
Letter form Arzobispo of Mexico City to Roma y Rossell in agreement with determinations of the construction, the bula the fiat and nomination of the obispo for the new church in Nuevo Reyno de Leon. Mier makes a certified copy of the letter from the king for the years 1618, 1620 and 1621. The king wants to know what the problem is in relation to the archbishop and the diezmos from Panuco. In a second letter, the king wants information in regard to the construction. In a third, he seeks information of the death of the dean of the church. Several letters from fiscales to jueces hacedores of the new cathedral to maintain the collection of diezmos while the king decides the place for the construction. An accounting relation of diezmos for the construction made by caxas reales in San Luis Potosi. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Letter from Sacedon to virrey discussing the papal bull relative to the construction of the new cathedral. The king asks the virrey for more information in order to decide whether the new cathedral should be in Linares as assumed, or in Santa Rosa, Coahuila. A letter from virrey to Belena ordering him to instruct the bishop of Linares to enact laws and prepare for construction despite the possible change in location of the cathedral. Summary
Villanueva makes a copy of an original document that refers to the background of the project to establish a new cathedral in Nuevo Santander. The informes of Escandon and the actions of the Villanueva, referring to the construction, the name of the new cathedral as nuestra Senora de la concepcion; original idea of a cathedral was conceived by Phelipe primero; the adjudication of the Diezmos for the new church, the original document was written in Madrid September 9, 1775; official nomination from the king of Belena as responsible for the territorial division of the church of Nuevo Reyno de Leon. Belena sends a letter to obispo de Nuevo leon requesting a copy of the bula properly translated to follow the regulations made by the santidad. Belena receives from the secretaria de Camara del virreynato 4,516 foxas with 61 caratulas as antecedents to begin with the construction of the new cathedral, a brief description of the 61 caratulas is presented. Bentura requests from the church of Valladolid information of the missions in their jurisdiction and the amount of Diezmos paid during the year. The Guadalaxara bishop writes to Belena saying that they do not have any document giving the royal right to Prieto; Belena writes to royals caxas de San Luis requesting information on the diezmos from Linares; Obispo from Linares complains in a letter to Belena of the territorial division.
