Diego Gonzales and Ambrosio Fresqui brought suit against Phelipe Arratia for obstructing traffic over the Camino de real in the Canada de Chimayo by using some the disputed land for farming. Case decided (after testimonies of long-time residents of area) in plaintiffs' favor. Arratia ordered to vacate. (R. Saba) (1980)

Baltasar Rodarte petitions governor to release him from jail in order to be united with his wife and to tend his fields. Petition is granted, and Jacinto Sanchez is designated guarantor (fiador). (R. Saba) (1980)

It seems Gutierrez was sentenced to death for desertion (from the army). His execution is orderer to be carried out and his Head displayed in the Plaza of Taos to serve as an example to the Indians that they should not aid fugitive Spaniards. (R. Saba) (1980)

Diego xonome testifies concerning the deaths of two priests. He blames the Apaches for the deaths of the priests in San Ydelphonso and gives the views of other tribes in the region. He refers to fighting between certain Indian tribes. Also he provides information about the deaths of some other Spaniards who were killed by the pecuni Indians. The deaths occurred during an ambush. He tells of the combined forces of the Indians and Spanish fighting the Apaches. He ends with information about the death of some Pecos Indians who were killed by some Tegua Indians.
