Viceroy orders governor of Texas to sell as many cattle as possible, to the French in new Orleans, who are suffering from a lack of meat. French have written to viceroy asking this, apparently after having received no satisfaction from the governor of Texas, who stated there was no extra cattle to be spared. but viceroy orders governor to do so explaining that Spanish have received help from French in new Orleans. The citizens desire to repeal these acts, showing that the acts are beneficial to the town. Some information on crops grown. Shows relationships between various sectors of town. Summary
The suit revolves around questionable actions done by Rodriguez while in the post of regido de cano in San Fernando. Mederos was relived of his post as a result of his actions. While mainly legal, there is scant references to trade within the region, law regarding the bearing of arms, and another suit against a scandalous priest.
