Loyola feels reduccion of indians is very difficult; it is always necessary to subdue them with armas and then make peace with a few ramas or rancherias. He advises that no indians of Apacheria de oriente be admitted into this partido. Also included are instrucciones from concha for Guerrero's expedicion de Campana. (D. Marksz, November 1987)

Two letters from Concha to Flores concerning various tribes of carries message from Sierra Blanca Apaches requesting peace negotiations. Concha seems well acquainted with individuals and general ethnography of several tribes, describes interactions with Faraones, others. Mention of Echeagary placing Chiricahuas in military company. Unsigned draft of letter to Concha restating atrocities of recent Apache raids, friendly Indians' mistrust for Apache advances. Letter from Ugarte y Loyola to Revilla Gigedo discussing above correspondence, mentions Equeracapa to visit Chihuahua to discuss last Comanche campaign against Apaches. (A. Dean, March 1989)

Summary
Relation of the military career of Garcia conde, and a letter to the new virrey requesting permission to leave his position because he feels ill. On June 22, 1817 ayuntamiento de Chihuahua again writes a letter to the new virrey requesting move of the capitania general from Durango to Chihuahua. Virrey orders Bonavia to change his residence when new gobernador of Durango arrives. Garcia conde answers the virrey explaining why he does not want to change his residence. (D. Summary
The ayuntamiento de Chihuahua sends a letter to Bonavia asking if the prisoners are actually in his custody and not in the presidio ultramarino. The Ayuntamiento sends a copy to virrey. Bonavia answers the ayuntamiento de Chihuahua stressing that they should respect his actions and not listen to ligerezas. Virrey orders Bonavia to change his residence and stop the problems in Chihuahua; Bonavia answers virrey that he will obey but he still does not understand why he has to be in Chihuahua. The fiscal gives information to the virrey concerning the events in Chihuahua and Bonavia's case; ayuntamiento de Chihuahua sends a letter to Bonavia telling him that he misunderstood their letter and that they have the right to appeal. Fiscal suggests virrey stop Bonavias misconduct. (D. Bautista, 1989)
