Series of documents concerning misunderstanding between Nava and Revilla Gigedo on relationship between New Spain and Provincias Internas. much discussion between viceroy and other government officials concerning collection of taxes from Provincias Internas with respect to real hacienda and tribunal de Cuentas. it is agreed upon that real hacienda in Mexico will continue to be in charge of taxes from Provincias Internas. the king as well as other government officials are informed of this decision. Nava requests from Revilla Gigedo copies of rules for management of royal treasury, and collection of taxes (gunpowder, Mezcal, naipes, azoques, etc.). Viceroy orders government officials to gather copies of these documents to be sent to Nava. They include copies of letters from 1777 which discuss creation of Provincias Internas under Croix, and its political and economic separation from New Spain.
