Summary
Impeachment proceedings of Valero due to treatment of Indians, debt has not punished pirates and prisoners or followed orders of virrey and other officials. Doctors report that Gutierrez de la Pena is a melancholic hypochodriac and this mental illness makes him unable to Vote in case. Other in case judges have died before voting; also review of those who voted and dissension among judges which has caused delays. Summary
Copy of a letter from the king to the virrey ordering the Franciscan order to obey the statutes given in the preceding folios dated may 20, 1782, and the copy is dated December 15, 1787. Fiscal Oliva suggests virrey deny Boix permission on the Basis of the king's letter. Virrey grants permission to Boix but his punishment is to become a religious penitent. The virrey sends a letter to each of the colegios reminding them of the Ten year commitment and that those who seek to leave before then must become religious penitents. The virrey asks for information on Boix' departure from Veracruz and when he will arrive in Spain. (D. Bautista, June 1990)

Summary
Letters from Escandon for virrey informing him about campaign he is preparing against Indians. Escandon mention that around 200 soldiers will pursue the Indians Sihuy until they are exterminated; the other Series of documents are dealing with requested permission from Boix to virrey. Boix presents virrey two medical statements from convents of San Diego and San Francisco, where the doctors conclude that the illness of Boix is una afeccion histerica hipocondriaca. Fiscal suggests virrey not give permission because those concepts are confusing, besides the law says Boix has to remain Ten years before leaving; virrey orders Arzobispo to name other doctors to determine the disease of Boix. The next two doctors give the same diagnosis. (D. Bautista, June 1990)

Summary
Autos formed against Basques accused of theft of cattle from Sanchez. While Palacio is in charge of the new colony as gobernador Sanchez accused Basquez. Martinez is commissioned to make an investigation and to send the conclusions to Palacios. Basquez complains about the procedures because the judge is not questioning Sanchez about his gambling activities. When Sanchez and his sons lost in the game they drive out Basquez without the cattle he won in the game from Sanchez. Gobernador Palacio orders an appraisal of the cattle's value to be paid by Basques. Sanchez and Basques do not agree on the estimates and a third party has to mediate. Palacio states that if Basques refuses to pay he will be embargado. Basques complains to the virrey. (D. Bautista, June 1990)
