The author claims that the labor will benefit the crown - mention is made of the quinto - and he promises to pay the requisite salaries to the workers. A last will and testament composed in an area, apparently remote, where no public Scribe was available. The testament includes a quite legible inventory of possessions which might be of value in reconstructing the material culture of the period. A request for a mandamiento of amparo to utilize the labor of the Indians (Tarahumares) in an hacienda de minas. The petitioner asks for the right to make use of the Indians, regardless of the area in which they are located, and requests that other interests in the Vicinity be enjoined to desist from impeding his acquisition of such Indian labor.
