Summary
Five letters written by fr. Francisco Garces to fr. Diego Ximenez. One is so badly written that a copy was made which accompanies the letter. These letters are really informes giving information of the mission and speak of various Indian tribes - cocopa, faliquamai, Yumas, etc. Some cover one folio others two. They bear the following dates- February 15, 1778; February 19*, 1778; December 25, 1776; September 24, 1776; January 12, 1775. These are original letters having the autograph of fr. Garces. Summary
This informe by fr. Diego Ximenez to Bucareli petitions his excellency to release the friars from the care of the missions in Pimeria Baja. At the end he enumerates eight missions, the distances between each and the number of Indians, giving a total of 3611 Indians.
