Summary
This very interesting Series of documents provides reports of Indian attacks in the area of the Rio de Florida. A company of soldiers, eventually with some Indian auxilaries, is dispatched to investigate the reports and punish those responsible. A list of the soldiers (about fifty) is provided. A very detailed account, with good geographical references, is given by the officer in charge of the mission. A stomach-wrenching description of the Spaniards tortured and slain by the rebels is provided, as well as a detailed account of the encounter and capture of the rebels. (C. Needham) (1975)
