Regarding monetary awards to be given to members of the military in Nueva Viscaya based on time in service. Includes service records and biographies which mention each man's lineage, Vital statistics, and discussion of his military service (when he joined, campaigns he fought in, etc.). Autos by Galindo Navarro regarding Neve's executors and funds they administered. Corbalan relates to virrey that he has paid the heirs of Neve's doctor and describes transactions of Neve's wealth liquidated through auction; virrey(?) Acknowledges receipt of letter. Galindo Navarro in auto describes death of Neve and his duties to make an inventory of Neve's belongings, put his papers in order, identify corpse, and gather keys. Copy of Neve's will (ff. 145-159). Autos and diligencias referring to choice of executors of Neve's will, Neve's keys, and papers, requests in will concerning belongings, making inventories, choice of accountants and expert assessors of Neve's belongings, as well as description of religious sacraments given to his corpse. Administrative proceedures for assembling paperwork concerning Neve's will. Inventory and value of Neve's gold and silver belongings. Very interesting record of investigation into death of Yxart, gobernador de Nuevo Santander, April 18. Alva is placed in charge of inquiry into suicide. letter from Caleja suggesting perhaps miscreant from volante killed him, created appearance of suicide for revenge. Transcription of questioning of soldiers, blacksmith interspersed throughout. Testimony by reputable sources of deceased's character, recent actions, events surrounding discovery of corpse. Long letter from moquira speculating on circumstances that may shoe, stabbed with knife; all doors to room closed. F.95 is detailed floorplan of governor's Palace with drawing of scene inconclusive evidence for foulplay; no prosecution undertaken. Yxart given ecclesiastic burial anyway. (A. Dean, July 1989)

Original report and certification by Arvizu of copies of the service records of those soldiers qualifying for the salary premiums as per the royal decree of April 20, 1815. Service records of these individuals show they fought against the rebel insurgents at San Ygnacio de Piastla as well as in campaigns against the Apaches. (G. Lavalley, February 1988)

Report by Esteban on soldiers of Horcasitas presidio qualifying for the premios senalados as per royal order of October 4, 1766. Includes service records and their certification by Esteban the capitan of Horcasitas presidio while he was stationed at Pitic. All of these soldiers served for extensive periods against the rebel insurgent forces at Rosario, San Ygnacio de Piastla and other campaigns. (G. Lavalley, February 1988)

Service records indicate that most of these men participated in battle of San Ygnacio de Piastla against insurgent forces of Coronel Hermosillo as well as numerous campaigns against the Apaches. (G.
