Miguel Antonio de Goycoechea writes capitan Juaquin Amezqueta that there is plenty of wheat in the Valle de las Poanas near Durango and that harina sells at 13p. He recommends that no grain be allowed to leave the provincia in order to avoid shortages. (P. Hayes) (1977)

Prospero Alexandro de Albarado rents the hacienda Santiago for 5 years to Jose Maria Gutierrez de Riva under the following conditions- de Riba has rights to all irrigation water. de Riba must give 1/2 of all wheat grown under irrigation to Albarado. (de Riba pays expenses) maize will be divided once the harvest is in. Any crops de Riba grows on dry-land will be all his. (P. Hayes) (1977)

Irene Salsido on behalf of her Father, charges Augustin Lira (indio) and Diego Foribio Machuca (mulato) with theft of 2 Reses. Machuca is absolved, but Augustin lia is sent off to la hacienda de San Juan Baptista de Encinillas for 6 years of hard labor. (P. Hayes) (1977)
