Petronila Garsia Jurado addresses petition of protest against capitan Antonio Montoya for delaying division of her late Husband's possessions. Will seems to be disputed because two families are involved. Petronila was esposa legitima of priest's certification of Baca's funeral; undated but signed and certified letter of Bienes (perhaps a will?); Alcalde mayor of Bernalillo turns case over to gobernador who sends his secretary who takes inventory and divides goods accordingly, settling dispute. Francisco Afan de Rivera of Villa Nueva de Santa Cruz is accused and convicted of wounding by sword Joseph de Atienza and his son Gregorio. The case begins before the Alcalde mayor of said jurisdiction, Cristobal Torres, but is immediately transferred to Santa Fe and Juan Paez Hurtado, the lieutenant governor. Writs and testimonies are included. Afan de Rivera is jailed in Santa Fe and an embargo is placed on his personal possessions (which seem to be extensive). (Raul Saba) (1980)

Signed copy of sentence issued by the Juez receptor Antonio Bezerra against Felix Martines and dispatched to real Audiencia in Mexico. Martines is ordered to make payment and restitution to Pecos Indians for personal services rendered and for an order of 2,000 wooden boards delivered to his Palacio. (Raul Saba) (1980)

Summary of proceedings in criminal case against capitan Nicolas Ortiz who did not follow Alcalde mayor's orders regarding rights and usage of water for irrigation. Includes auto naming special judges for question of water usage and testimonies against Ortiz for cutting off water to neighboring fields as well as verbal abuse and physical threats to judges and others. Ortiz is sentenced to jail for disobeying Alcalde's orders, mistreating his emissaries, failing to appear before Alcalde and resisting arrest. (Raul Saba) (1980)

Balthasar Trujillo reports a raid by Apache Indians on his cattle, in detail. Four Indians of the Pueblo of Tesuque are suspected of being involved but governor Bustamante reviews charges and declares them innocent. (R. Davis) (1980)

Alcalde mayor Martin Hurtado protests that charges by Jacinto Sanches, that Hurtado has been unfair and self serving in his decisions concerning farming and grazing rights, are unjust. Decision by teniente general is in Hurtado's favor. (R. Davis) (1980)

Pedro Atensio Lopez, Pedro Lopez and Joseph Gonzalez are arrested for assaulting Nicolas de Chavez, who seems to have provoked the attack over issue of his cattle ruining cornfields of the Lopez brothers. Governor finds all parties at fault. Fines each sixty pesos and orders Pedro Atensio Lopez, Pedro Lopez and Joseph Gonzalez to participate at own expense in any future campaign against the Indians.
