Mentioned in the 1951-01-08-03 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954: “With reference to the discussion of the Publicity Committee report on Mr. Matthews’ editorial of December 8th, 1950.... Dr. Hugh Thompson remarked that this subject is of interest not only in answering Mr. Matthews, but in showing that there is an adequate supply of doctors in Arizona, which will attract lay people in town. Mr. Williams of KVOA thought it should be published whether Mr. Matthews had ever published an editorial or not.”
