The citation states that he administered many projects related to the preservation of the health of Army Air Forces personnel. Colonel van Ravenswaay's many advances in medical science have been of inestimable value and reflect great credit on himself and on the armed forces of the United States. Dr. van Ravenswaay graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in 1932 and entered the military service on Aug. 21, 1942.
