JAMA, Dec 1961; 178: 1045: Reynolds, Lawrence, Detroit; born in Ozark, Ala., Feb. 11, 1889; Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, 1916; specialist certified by the American Board of Radiology; member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, of which he was past-president, and the Radiological Society of North America and in 1956 received its Gold Medal; past-president of the American College of Radiology and in 1960 received its Gold Medal; past-president of the Detroit Roentgen Ray and Radium Society; honorary member of the German Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of Italy, and the Radiological Society of Colombia, South America; veteran of World War I; professor of radiology and later appointed clinical professor of radiology at Wayne State University College of Medicine; formerly on the faculty of his alma mater and Harvard Medical School in Boston; for many years associated with the Harper Hospital; consultant in radiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dearborn; at one time roentgenologist at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston; served on the Detroit Library Commission; held an honorary doctor of law degrees from the University of Alabama and Wayne State University; editor of the American Journal of Roentgenology and Radium Therapy and Nuclear Medicine; died Aug. 17, aged 72, of myocardial infarction.
