J Am Med Assoc, Aug 1914; LXIII: 409 - 416: Medical News. Arizona. Dr. Frank W. Randall, Douglas, has tendered his resignation as city physician. He is serving as lieutenant colonel in the Mexican Constitutionalist Army, under Cabral.
Tucson Citizen: DOUGLAS, Jan. 16, 1912 - Examining and vaccinating as he goes, Dr. F. R. Randall of this city, surgeon major of the state of Sonora, is now on a two weeks' trip through the northern portion of the state. Several cases of smallpox, in rather mild form, have developed in various mining camps of the northern part of Sonora, according to word received in Douglas. So far no deaths have been reported here. Prior to leaving the city during the early part of the week, Dr. Randall practically cleaned out the local drug stores of their supply of fresh vaccine virus. He obtained several hundred tubes, which he will use during his stay across the line.
