J Am Med Assoc, May 1925; 84: 1362: Dr. George A. Bridge, Bisbee, was elected president of the Arizona State Medical Association at the annual meeting in Bisbee, April 16-18;... Dr. William Allen Pusey, President of the American Medical Association, with a committee from the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, took a boat trip up the Salt River Gorge. Wednesday, Dr. Pusey was entertained at a reception and luncheon by the Maricopa County Medical Society; he addressed the Pima County Medical Society and the University of Arizona at a dinner in the evening ; he read a scientific paper, Thursday, before the state association, and gave an address at the annual banquet, Friday.

J Am Med Assoc, Sep 1940; 115: 872: William Allen Pusey -- President of the American Medical Association, 1924-1925, died at his home in Chicago, August 29, aged 74. Dr. Pusey had a distinguished career as a scientist, a teacher, an author and a civic and medical leader. He was born Dec. 1, 1865, in Elizabethtown, Ky., the descendant of a Kentucky pioneer family. His father was a physician and his great-grandfather on his mother's side was Dr. John T. Hodgen of St. Louis, one of the most famous surgeons of his day and also President of the American Medical Association.... [photo caption: William Allen Pusey, M.D., 1865-1940]
