Chicago Tribune January 10, 1992 obituary: Dr. Milan V. Novak, 84, a medical doctor and retired dean of the graduate school of the University of Illinois Medical School, did pioneer research in the 1940s in the storage of blood and plasma. He served in the early 1960s as president of the Tuberculosis Institute of Chicago and Cook County. A resident of Tucson and formerly of Lombard, he died Sunday in the University of Arizona Hospital, Tucson. Dr. Novak spent 55 years in medical education, including seven at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Medical School, 29 at the University of Illinois Medical School and 20 at the University of Arizona.
