Milloy, Frank Joseph

ArMA secretary. Mentioned in the 5/14/1946 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954. Arizona Medical Board record: Frank J. Milloy MD; license date: 1/19/1921; medical school: NWU, FEINBERG SCH OF MED, Chicago, Illinois; graduation date: 6/16/1920.
From ArMA website: Dr. Milloy obtained and administered the first penicillin used in the Valley. This was during World War II when penicillin was restricted to use by the armed forces. Dr. Milloy is also given credit for introducing blood transfusion work into Arizona. He was active in the Arizona Medical Association, and in 1942 was elected secretary. In 1944 he, along with Doctors J.D. Hamer, and D.F. Harbridge, began publication of Arizona Medicine. A few years later an attempt was made to combine Arizona Medicine with Southwest Medicine, and Dr. Milloy worked hard to see it not happen. http://www.azmedassn.org/milloy.html
