Marcus, Stanley

The PhD degree is in question. It seems the 1951 “Marcus” references refer to the “Stanley Marcus” of 1952. From the 1951-10-04-01 and 1951-10-04-04 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954: "Dr. Beaton reported that a PhD named Marcus...apparently a psychiatrist or psychologist from New York City...is going to set up a public relations institute in Tucson." Mentioned in the 1952-01-10-05 minutes. And 1952-09-26-06 and 1952-09-26-09: “...regarding Mr. Stanley Marcus....Dr. Beaton remarked that there is a constant flood of complaints about this man, that he has no degree, but that there is as yet no licensing for medical psychologists in this State, and recommended giving the Better Business Bureau the blessing of the Society.”
